My cover is here! My newsletter subscribers of course saw it first, but Song of the Six Realms has the official cover thanks to the amazing illustrator Sija Hong (who also did the Book of Tea duology covers!). Like always, I am in absolute awe of her work and thankful as well to Rich Deas for doing the cover design.

I’ve been hard at work on another one of my books coming your way in 2024. This one is a YA horror from Rick Riordan Presents (!!!) that is set in Vancouver’s Chinatown. It’s actually one of my most personal books to date. You can find out more on its own page here.

Amazing news was announced earlier this week. A Magic Steeped in Poison was the YA winner in the Barnes & Noble Children’s & YA Book Awards!
When this book was published I really didn’t know the type of journey it would go on, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that it’s recognized a year later.
A Magic Steeped in Poison was also selected as an Honour Book in the White Pine Award! Which is a Canadian award voted on by Ontario students. How cool is that?!

Happy new year! I can’t believe I closed out my debut year already having wrapped up The Book of Tea duology. I’m so grateful of all of the support my duology has received. I’m looking to the future as I have more books coming your way in 2024!
